1. how do you open the air-vents under the upper-dashboard (centre)?
2. moisture inside rear-nearside outer light lens - it seems to be "sealed" - how do I get rid of it?
3. how can I make the buiscuit-hide look healthy, as its looking a bit knackered?
4. anyone know any good websites, etc. for stereo equipment as I need new speakers all round, maybe even an amp?

Leather - if bad go for reconnolisation at £100 per seat. I think!
Condensation - might be damp in the boot - common to have leaks. Or might be time to reseal rear units with black mastic.

Is the resealing a DIY job? I can see it looks fairly straightforward - just a little bit worried about digging out the existing sealant and replacing it - yikes! Do you know what the sealant brand/type is? (I've seen white and clear, but never black?)

Air vents - Should be two small panels which tip, and open the vent.
Condensation - Should dry out if left in the sun, if damp behind may take some time.
Leather - If not too bad/just dirty then you can buy Autoglym Leather something-or-other that seems quite good. If totally cracked and knackered it will need re-doing.
ICE? Try here - there is another but I cannot remember it at the moment ICE

Hope this helps.

TADTS I'm afriad.

Can help if you give them a bit of a work out, but you will probably need a track to do that - oh, and it'll come back.

Cool - well then I don't mind that then? I'll try a spot of coppaslip, and was wondering if different pad compounds made a difference?

As for the vents - I still can't find out how to open/close them?

The vents have 2 flaps to make uo the circle (well, sort of) - push your finger up into the dashboard on the side closest to the windscreen - should open easily....

I think Connolly went bust a year or more ago, but I was talking to a chap called Eric at Croftgate up in the North West. They can pretty much re-tan the leather whilst it's on the car and sound very professional. Or they can sell you the stuff and instructions to do it yourself. Apparently it deals with cracks and everything

Sold the car in the end, so didn't try it myself, but they have a Royal Warrant in the pipeline so I guess it gives a reasonable finish.

Have a look at www.croftgate.com

The vents are a circular flap pivoting on an point offset from centreline (they are the same as Alfa 33 units), hence keep poking your finger up at them on the screen side and they should pop open (can be a bit stiff sometimes).
Leather can be repaired by professionals or you could try the Woolies or Liquidleather renovation systems (see www.oilypages.com for options)
Hope this helps
