Our cerbera has just failed its mot on ineffectve hand-brake and worn nearside track-rod end. The tester said the handbrake probably just needed a strip down and clean and the track-rod was an easy part to change. Has anyone done either of these and do you have any tips worth knowing?

track rod end is easy to do but use a ball joint seperator i have seen too many damaged hub mounts through being hit with a hammer to break the taper joint. handbrake could be more involved around mid 97 the pivot point on the lever was moved for better leverage, you need to make sure that the clevis pin is in the upper hole on the lever to get maximum efficiency. you can contact me on 07740 723673 if you need me to clarify any of this

I saw a cerbera track rod end replaced in about 2 minutes (I'm not joking) at a dealer, so I reckon it is not too big a job
