It's a Cerbie 4.2 '97. Now need to sort loads of stuff, like wax, waterproof car cover, 18" alloys/tyres. Re: the stereo, has anyone fitted one themselves? or should I take it to local ICE dealer?

I've seen Halfords waterproof car covers, elasticated fit, for £65, and Cerbera TVR ones for £295 - what's the difference?

... I mean, I don't want to sound like a tight a*se but that's quite a price differential?

I got one from argos..£20. Took it back after a week as it was scratching the paintwork.

I bought the TVR one for £295 a year ago. I wouldn't recommend using it without a cotton undersheet of some sort. I kept the car and cover clean and but still had to polish marks out where wind made the cover flap against the bodywork.

nice work - have also just got mine (99 4.5). Notice you're in Epsom, and I'm in Wimbledon, so could meet up for a blast sometime?

I'd be right up for a blast mate - no worries!! As for the cover, I've got a cloth cover with it, so can use that underneath the Halfords cover to keep it dry ... should work fine, and if not - well I've lost £65 but then there's the risk I'll save £230 !?!

As for meeting up - I'm due to pick it up this coming weekend - send me your email address so we can discuss location/date/time, etc.

Picking up my 1st TVR on the weekend, a 4.5 Cerbie 98.
Did loads of research and saw quite a few and found an excellent one a few miles away from home in Surrey.
The guys asked me how long id been looking, my reply....17 years ! Cant wait

Cool - so is there some kind of TVR club in Surrey then?

beemer and cinman, I'm the Regional Officer for Surrey TVRCC. I've mailed both of you a quick mail about what's going on in the near future. I'll send you a more carefully thought out mail when I get home.

If you work in the City, you may enjoy the social aspects of the City Region. Heck, a few of them even own TVRs

Cheers,

Steve
