Hi all
picked up my Cerbera yesterday - haven't stopped grinning yet!! Thanks to Jason Pritchard for looking after the car during his ownership - it's a beaut!
first small hiccup though - packed a load of kiddie kit in the car this morning for a run down to Hmapshire to see the in-laws (good having Mother's Day as an excuse for a blast!) - now I can't get the boot open! The solenoid switch clicks away, but doesn't release the lid. Any ideas on a) how to fix it, and b) whether there's a sneaky TVR-style manual workaround (obviously not to be posted on here, but mailed to me). Bit worried I might run out of fuel on the way home (which would not be great with a 4 and 2 year old in the car!)
Thanks for your help

still a bit mystified as to why the solenoid is clicking yet not triggering the catch - any ideas on likely cause and fix?
Thanks
Sean
The linkage can come adrift that links the two -- it's pretty poor by all accounts. I've heard of it happening on one or two other cerbs. It can be reattached but is pretty fiddly. I think it involves removing a bit of the carpet covering the inside of the boot, but take a look and see what you think.

Sean,
Get this all the time ... For me, the hook and catch seem to be slightly mis-aligned (of course worked perfectly in the show room ...). I find that so long as I press down the boot just to the left of the catch it releases first time. You really don't want to have to go through the "other" way - it can be a pain in the *rse.
I've just been lazy to date to actually look into fixing it. However, once the "push" no longer works, I'll have to look at the alignment. Please post your experiences if you get there first !
Cheers,
Lee.
