apparently there is a better warranty than waranty holdings available from car care plan does anyone know who they are / have a web site or telephone number?

I called them sometime ago but they couldn't provide me any cover without getting it through a dealer.

thats funny i have had cover with them and had a brand new engine fitted when mine went bang without going through a dealer. better renew it a.s.a.p

Where did you buy your policy from?

I'm sure that a dealer somewhere would buy one on your behalf, (obviously buy him a drink), even though you hadn't bought the car from them.

It's just that I've called several warranty companies and they all said the same thing, "unless I was a dealer who used their policies, I couldn't buy one from them".

When I called they said that I could only buy a basic policy direct from them, but if I wanted a comprehensive plan I would have to go through a dealer.

I agree. I find it ridiculous.

I haven't bought my Cerb yet and that's why I'm restricted to just buying from a dealer.

I might get a woman to call them and say that she's my secretary and use my business' name. I find that can work sometimes!!!!

Gave in and bought from warranty holdings.....£399 for Gold cover.. I know I'm going to regret this but the guy who had the car before me was paying £600 plus..

worrys me the limit of any claim is £1000.. a main dealer won't get out of bed for less than a Grand!!

hi all
just tried to renew mine with them came up with some lame excuse that i have let it lapse load of b####ks they advertise car under ten years old with less than 700000 miles on the clock ,will have to look into it further.must have had a fright with my claim.
