I've seen a 450 LW at a dealer that I'm interested in but it's not from a TVR dealer, neither main nor independent.

The dealer does specialise in high performance vehicles but I was wondering, even if the dealer can provide their own warranty or a TVR approved one, would it be advisable to get the car checked out by a TVR expert first?

Yep, deffiantly get the car checked from someone who has a experience of them, Joolspeed who is on Ph is probabley your man on Cerberas.
As for the warrenty then IMO thats a bit of a raffle.
I was quoted quite a bit for 3yrs and i know/lucky enough not to have had to use it. But have known of/and heard of some people having so many arguements of what is really covered in the warranty,NOTE this isnt just with TVR's

Yeah, I've heard that this chap Joolz is the man for this.

The car is near me and I think I'm about 150 miles from him, obviously he'll charge for a call out but will he travel that far???

I haven't taken the car out for drive yet so I'll probably give him a call when I find out if it's the one for me.

Joolz is great, but there are plenty of other specialists around london. Try asking some of the dealers for starters (although it may not be cheap) such as the TVRCentre in Barnett.
