Am close to purchasing a 2000 model Cerbera 4.5

I've had differing opinions on wether getting a warrenty is a good idea though.

Should I just save the money for repairs/maintence - as I understand most of these policies dont pay out for wear&tear.....I'm figuring that anything that goes wrong 3 years from new will be due to wear&tear.

Whats this AA warrenty that I hear about - at £48 sounds too good to be true.

Would value everyones opinion.

Iam in the same boat as you, I have approx £35K to spend on a 'good' Cerbera, having driven a 4.0 a 4.2 and 4.5 its a 4.5 Im looking for. Living in Lancashire theres not many reputable dealers up here but my work offices are down in Oxfordshire so Im hoping there are some better ones down there. Im hoping to get one for around £25k to £30K so I can spend the rest on a 4 door saloon in case the Cerby is in the garage or has problems as we all know they do.
On the warranty side, Im definatly going to get a good 12months or hopefully 24month package when I buy, purely cause ive heard of awful things going wrong on even 3 year and 5 year old cars which are in fact manufacturer faults. This way hopefully all the little niggling things will have been sorted out, this is what puts me off a new one. Play it safe even if it costs you, surely you can afford it...you are buying a Cerbera after all! :-p
