Cerb pals - just looking through the Cerbs for sales (like to keep an eye on prices).. afer the first couple of pages we get to the month old adds... pretty much all sold. Blimey. Its not completely a buyers market I think. Looking thro Chims, the sales are no greater - and I though a Cerbera was for life! At least those who are forced into a regretable sale (generally struggling IT people like myself) can take a deep breath now & relax in the knowledge that if the price is right, there's a buyer.

You could have fooled me. Everyone seems to talk the talk about wanting well sorted sub £20K Cerberas, but most of the enquiries I've had have been with silly money offers. Not in a rush to sell, so not really a problem, but I've been very surprised at the apparent lack of interest on what is almost the cheapest Cerb on PH, with all the upgrades done, high spec, well sorted yadda yadda yadda. Stikes me the market for private-sale sub £20K Cerbs at 'realistic' money (as opposted to '£15K give-aways) is pretty dead.

Put your price up then!

If something appears too good to be true, there's normally a catch, so by not asking for enough cash will actually be detrimental to peoples interest in the car.

Sure youve noticed, but it does seem to take a good month to sell a reasonably priced Cerb though (obviously am generalising a bit here). I was just surprised to see so many sold when I had a browse throught the ads a few nights ago, thats all

Interesting - I am half thinking about selling my cerb but am not sure what they go for.
Virtually everything is new on mine - complete engine rebuild to 2002 spec last summer. Every extra. There isnt a better sorted cerb !!? It is a 98 S reg 4.5. A well known car. Starmist Blue with Cream full leather interior. It has done 58K miles. I have spent about £8K on her in the last year getting her like new. Whats it worth ? I was thinking if I did sell it I would ask for v v v near offers at around 19K. Any (considered!!) views as to whether this is about right , too high or too low ?
(Then again what am I talking about - I love her).

Too low, your car sounds mint. A dealer would be asking £26K, no reason why you should not expect to get £22K at least maybe more IMHO. Unless you are in a hurry you should at least wait till the summer that's got to be worth 1K or 2K.
