making the cerbra sound better
Discussion
Nothing!
It is very easy and will transform the cars sounds. You will be forced to drive everywhere with the windows down and slow from 4K revs in high gears, especially around town. Sad and immature but lots of fun. Just remember to keep the revs constant when driving past police cars.
No CATS = VERY big fine.

Easiest way to do it is to fit some sports exhausts as anyone who has followed my car will confirm.
Cost £250 for the pipes from Peninsula 2 years ago but it took me a considerable amount of time to get the pipes to fit properly.
However, no probs so far at MOT time and a fantastic sound
An added bonus is,.....the considerable saving in weight!!!!

Sports exhausts do not sound as good in my opinion and cost so much more than taking the cats out.
Basically you need a 'cat friendly' dealership to slip it through for an MOT. If you discuss this prior to removing the cats there will be no probs at MOT time.
I was thinking about s/exhaust as well - until a mate had a go in my Cerb and I followed behind - only then did I appreciate what a bloody noise it was making. A s/exhaust would most certainly be OTT.
I think s/exhausts make the car 'louder' but removing the cats changes the exhaust tone totally and adds a small amount of volume at idle - but when you bury the loud pedal into the carpet it sounds like you have a couple of Ducattis on the back seats going for it. The overrun becomes a little obscene and a few licks of flame have been seen from time to time escaping from the exhaust!
I also noticed that the car accelerates more smoothly since removing the cats.
