I am to drive my cerb into london in a week or so. My front plate is more motor bike sized than car size. So does this mean the cc cameras will catch me out etc or will I simply defeat them instead?

I thought i understood the new laws concerning plates.
I had some made up purely as they were "show plates"
If you state this is the case I would be suprised if you ran into problems ?

Autoplates in Surbiton are excellent (020 8399 8040 & 8073); a while-you-wait service and it seems they'll make up pretty much anything for "off road use only" (any size, any font).

I've never tried calling them to order (they are just down the road from me), but as their name implies they do nothing but number plates.

If its a one off, just stick a bit of black electricians tape over a number before going thru the 'C' then whip it back off again once your in.

Thanks, will do. It's just I plodded round everyone from Halfords to Depford motor spares on Saturday and no-one would make up a smaller plate because of the new regs. I tried the "show plates" number on each of them and every time just got a 'more than my job's worth' reply.
