OK.

I am in the fortunate position of getting a bonus soon, which will allow me to put down 50% on a second hand Cerbera.

I have ALWAYS wanted one, but I'm worried. I've driven a couple and they are THE nuts, but money pit springs to mind......

I am used to running a 328i Sport. All very nice but no adventure!

So, advice gratefully received from you lot.

S6/4.2/4.5 ?

What's the best place to buy one (with a DECENT warranty that will PAY UP if it goes pop!)

What are the best places to get insured (I'm with Tesco at the mo - almost 3yr NCD but a ban four years ago.........)

All advice gratefully received so I don't blow the cash on an old nail.

Oh, and if anyone has a good one for sale for about £20k then please shout!

Cheers

SHOUT!!!!

It's the yellow one on PH. Ask around, it's pretty well known [up here], and most folks who know it say it goes, er, rather well

Good decision. I run a 4.5 lightweight. I thought that if I'm going to have a car based on pure power and speed, I might as well go the whole hog.

I'd recommened TVR MADS (Just type it into Google). Nice bloke called James will search the entire UK to get what you're after. He's been helpful when I've had TVR questions and the car came with warranty.

My insurance isn't that bad (I've been driving group 20 cars for a while now). Currently insured with Barclaycard, who beat any premium. Before them it was a company called Adrian Flux, who are extremely cheap. They, like other fast car specialists advertise in the back of Max Power magazine. Just go into the newsagent while it's dark and no-one will see you. Brown paper bag.. I was more embarred buying that than any porno.

Enjoy.

Hi,

4.5 best in yellow, very best colour for a TVR!!!!!!!
Try Mannings for insurance. If they take you on the cover will include Track Days run by the TVR car club.

You're gonna need aircon too!!!!!

Good luck...hope you find one soon

I had a 4.5 - was pretty reliable compared to the others in my group....great car great grins - go for it - just make sure car is sorted and have it checked over and get a warranty....
