Gearbox Oil

Anybody got any recommendations for gearbox oil other than the Mobil ATF specified in the handbook ?

it's mobil atf shc, but why would you want to use anything else?

I was reckoning on not being able to get hold of the Mobil stuff too easily.

As expected, Halfords do not stock Mobil ATF.

Perhaps you should read the question properly before wading in with the sarcasm.......

I got some of the recommended steering fluid (or maybe another make to the same spec) from there so assumed it would stock.

Fair comment, anyway my handbag's bigger than yours

Couldn't find any there which claimed to be synthetic, but AMSOil and Redline (and no doubt others) do a synthetic alternative.
