OK so I have now swapped the Griff for a 4.5 Cerby. I''d like to make use of the rear seats and luckily have a 16 month young daughter. She does however need a baby seat but they appear to be like rocking horse droppings. Apparently they were a no cost option when you bought a new cerby, but now cost £365 plus VAT plus fitting!!!!! (dangerous question having read some of the regular''s postings elsewhere): can anyone offer me advice on other options or where to source an alternative from??

Take a wee look at an earlier posting "Child Seats" - seems that Recaro do something that fits and is a lot cheaper than TVR's own offering

The Recaro (approx £170), whilst it fits in the rear, will not offer adequate leg room for the driver (unless of course it is positioned behind the passenger). I use a Britax Ranger which is available from Mothercare /Argos (approx £60-£70 but cheaper via mail order thru the net) and that gives more room for the driver (I have 2 young kids). Unfortunately, the seat does not fit as tightly to the car as one would like. I am in touch with Blackpool to find out how well the TVR one fits and how much leg room it gives (if any extra). What I have heard is that it requires drilling into the fibreglass to properly secure it into place. Edited by dyap on Wednesday 5th September 08:57 Edited by dyap on Wednesday 5th September 08:58
