should the outside temp sensor on the cerb light up as you drive along (if its cold enough of course),cos mine ain't.
it does flash briefly on start up but thats all.
anyone know where the actual pick up is for it,not serious i know but it bugs when things don't work as they should.
thanks.

If the weathers cold enough, below 4C, the ice light should stay on all the time. Green below 4C and red for 0C and below - I never seem to get the orange light though.
If it's flashing on when you start the car and then goes off even if you think is below 4C it's probably a loose connection or your thermistor is faulty.

Mine didn't do anything until last weekend, when I must have knocked the connector. So, I waggled it a bit harder, and now I get all the colours of the rainbow
It seems to go through a self test when I switch the engine on, and starts off red, but then goes through Orange to Green (before going off like this morning).
The connector is at the very front of the car, attached to the left hand radiator feed (if you look at the car from the drivers seat).
It has been on a fair bit recently!!
