Just sitting here wondering what else you could buy for the same money. We''ll all have to sell the cerby one day. Any experiences with alternatives ?

Noble M12 Marcos Morgan (O.K if you want to wait) Lotus the list goes on If you need 4 seats, get a 'cheap' family car, Focus 306/307 etc as well. Sparks P.S. but keep the Tiv or get another, you know it makes sense

No matter how many people admire those Porsches, they just dont do it for me. Strolled around top car showroom in Bramley this weekend. 50K - 100K Porsches lining the walls. Just one red Ferrari 355. Mmmmmm red...

"Just one red Ferrari 355. Mmmmmm red... " Yeah but you'll find it's as unreliable as the TVR. Heard a story recently of one that the engine blew. Cost? £36,000 F******G H**L. If I couldn't have a Cerbie I would take a look at the Noble M12 or an Ultima. I would love a Ferrari but I just get the feeling it would be like having a TVR but twice as expensive. I agree, Porsche's do nothing for me either.

Hi folks, as a german TVR Cerbera driver, who currently owns his 6th TVR I could never imagine to buy something different. Despite the fact that my 4.5LW is expensiver than a 996 here in Germany. I'm very tempted about the Tuscan R, but I also hope that TVR will launch a new 2+2 Coupe within the next time. Cheers, Christof*mad about TVR*

The question has been bothering me for a while as well. I really would want a 2+2. The thought of me in a 2-seater and the wife behind with the kids in a Focus or similar, touring the motorways of Europe, is a bit too silly. As much as I like Tuscan (S)s, Lotuses, Marcoses, Nobles and all them niceties - apart from an old Mondial, what else but a Cerbie remains? Tuscan R, 456 - v. nice but too expensive for me, I'm afraid. So, either another Cerbie, a more sensible (than a Tuscan R) priced 2+2 TVR still-to-be-announced (P. Wheeler's kids are still too young to drive, no?), or something alltogether boring, I'm afraid... Family man.

"Maserati 3200GT? Decent sized seats in the back and 375bhp." Yeah, I had a go in one of these recently and was mighty impressed. I can sit comfortably in the back and I'm 6"2 and 17 stone (no comments please!) Acceleration wise, once the twin turbos cut in it felt almost as quick as the Cerbie. Only problem is it costs 65 grand. Is it worth two cerbies???

Apache I would go for the Maser in your case as they do it in an auto for old geezers!! (sorry petrolted only joking, we are mates by the way!!) Seriously though, the one we had was auto and I would definitley go for the auto if I had enough dough to afford one. We were mighty impressed and I would love one. Like the Noble m12 though. Anyone been in one?
