Does anyone know of any feasible replacements for the purple pipes on the 4.5 engine.

Mine have all discoloured and look crap. Thought about replacing them until I found out how much the main dealer wants for them combined with the fact that in a few months they will likely look the same.

Any sexy alternative about or even just a replacement which does not discolour?

My inlet trumpets look pretty pants, have e-mailed Tim at ACT for any info on the carbon fibre. Out of interest how much do the trumpets cost from TVR?

I'll have to replace mine too at some point. I'd heard that carbon fibre ones were in the original Cerbera design spec, but the flexible ones delivered an extra few bhp (10 - 20 ish), for reasons that were not clear, so TVR stuck with the flexible ones. In any case, surely you can use any tough piece of tubing of the correct size/diameter, that will also take the temperature, oil etc ? I'm sure Joolz knows a load more that me about this anyway - any comments welcomed.

Original trumpet pipes cost £25 - £30 each from main dealers so when you times this by eight it gets expensive!
