very hot engine!
Discussion
Our 4.5 Cerbera generally runs at 90 degrees but in slow traffic can reach 110 degrees! No water loss. The dealer says it ''runs a bit hot but is okay''!
The fans may switch in on the move but to be honest the car is a bit on the loud side as most will appreciate and I''m not sure.
The passenger cooks from the vent on the gear tunnel that leaks extremely hot air. I have put foam ear plugs into the windscreen vents to stop hot air on the passenger side.
I''ve suggested nudity to my female passenger(didn''t go down too well!)
I know the car is a racing car for the road, but 110 degrees seems a bit warm to me. Apart from that the cerby is a brilliant car and a blast to drive.
Any comments please.
That's about the same as my 4.2, slow traffic, 1st gear, summer etc. I always get worried that it's going to blow but it hasn't yet in 4 years.
On the other hand I had a Chimp for a day in the summer and it overheated.
Hundreds of people must of seen me I looked and felt a right d**k.
Hi carlthomas
we DO have aircon, it has been checked and it works fine! We joined the TVR Club and attended a few meetings before buying the car and was advised not to buy a Cerb without aircon, advice that we have passed on many times!
Fortunately we have not yet had to pull over on the M25 or M1, not yet anyway!
