Just read on the main TVR gassing section that Alloy Pedals without rubber grips are not road legal which I guess means no insurance cover as well? Anybody else got alloy pedals with no rubber grips???

All Tuscans & Tamoras have alloy pedals with no rubber grips, you have to be careful with the choice of footware!!

That's interesting that the Tam and Tuscan come with them as standard - so I guess the "not road legal" comment is not true then?

When Cerbera 4.5s were supplied from the factory they used to have the alloy pedals in the boot, for fitting by the owner or main dealer. Apparently if TVR fitted them they required type approval or something, whereas if they were an after market fitting they didn't.I was also told that they would not pass an MOT without rubber grips ( don't know how the Tuscan and Tamora stand)I had them fitted to my 4.2 and never had any problems, probably just the familiar case of finding a sympathetic MOT tester. As for safety I never experienced any problems with feet slipping off pedals.

Nope, if you buy NON RUBBER pedals from Demon Tweaks they clearly say "not for road". The point is if your insurance company can riggle out of something, they will.
