Electrical problem - help!
Discussion
OK - its been one of those days today.
Got a Cerbie 4.5 which I started up this morning, only to find that neither of the hot/cold air blowers will fire up and the a/c and rear demist lights next to the blower controls are on constantly. Everything else seems fine (indicators, lights etc.). Checked the appropriate fuses but they are all OK. Any ideas?
The other problem I had today was a strong smell of fuel in the car, which I tracked down to a hole in a fuel pipe (!!). The pipe had been chafing and it wore through today. Not the most encouraging feeling to watch a full tank of Super Unleaded dripping out the bottom of the engine bay. Thank goodness it didn't catch as I drove it for hours before I realised there was a leak.
Anyway, fixed it by cutting the pipe in two and patching with copper fuel pipe and jubilee clips. Hopefully that will see me through until I get it to a dealer. Bit of a pain becuase I'm on the Isle of Man and there is no-one local.
Anyway, if someone can help with the electrical problem I'd appreciate it.
Cheers,
Phil.
