Can anyone shed some light on the problem i am having please?
My 4.5 cerbera has just had its 1000mile service where it needed throttle pot starter motor etc etc and it now pulls smoother but even though the starter motor doesnt stick and screem anymore as the old one did it is still reluctant to start please appreciate i have never owned a car like this before so it is a learning curve, but when i start it, it is reluctant to fire when cold, somtimes it requires a press of the accelerator pedal (which i was advised by dealer not to do) when it does fire it isnt happy until warm and the battery seems to struggle to turn it over, is this due to the engine being tight due to the milage or is this a 4.5v8 trate?

think the first thing I would do is change your dealer, then try using the proper starting technique of just a smidge of throttle to coax it into life followed by holding a fast tickover for 20-30 seconds, then all should be well. Do not keep blipping the throttle or start the engine with loads of revs though cos these bring their own problems.

Do you expect this tired batterie trait to continue even when the car has more miles on it or is it just this stubborn due to its tight engine?
Also i am curious as to your comments about Castle is this due to friendly compotition or is thier more sinister reasons for your comments about changing dealers ie is thier somthing i should know about Castle?
Also julian i wonderd if you would give me your views on my other concern i have posted on run in or not
