Fuel consumtion on 4.2

can anyone enlighten me on just how far a full tank on a 4.2 will go ?? mainly used in town driving..

Depends on how heavy your right foot is I guess but I generally get 240 ish miles between visits to the pump and rarely let the needle go below a 1/4 tank. Works out at ~20mpg which I think is about average.
I do most miles to and fro to work or being dad the taxi for the kids so no motorway journeys.

I've a 4.5 and had 13 mpg on one but last tankfull - loads of heavy foot driving round town and 16mpg on the last tankfull, again town driving but not quite as heavy on the right foot as I got a shock off last time

I get between 220 and 250 on average. Best ever was 310, mainly motorway (at sensible ! speeds)

I find that fuel consumption is worse on 95 ron than 97.
