A few weekends ago put my 99 Serbie on ramp - rust and flaking paint all over chassis. Had an S2 which was similar when I bought it and inside 4 years it almost rusted away! Moral - lots of scraping, hammerite and waxoil required this weekend if you want to keep car any length of time. Why can't TVR galvanise at a cost of a few hundred squids?

On a lighter note, had to take a hire care from Gatwick. They offered me a Fiat Stilo or free upgrade to a ....mulitplas. Obviously no self respecting TVR owner would be seen dead in the latter so took the Stilo.....what a load of sh!te. How can this pose as an automobile. Would be a better recepticle for baked beans.

Ah-ha, just checked the dixie-book:

Fiat:

An arbitrary order or decree.
Authorization or sanction

Stilo:

Acronym Scientific & Technical Intelligence Liaison Office

I liked your definition better: what a load of sh!te
