Sorry to post about something negative, but I want to solve this with the weather being as it is.

I have a leak on the Drivers side, which doesn't seem to be the same leak as other people have had on the forum.

The Leak seem to enter the car through the bottom part of the door (bottom 6 inches is wet, above that is dry), and then onto the floor of the driver's footwell.

Has anyone seen this one before?

It may be linked to the car being parked on a slight uphill slope....?

Any help would be great.

Hi Steve,

I had something similar, it was the water running down the seal then being unable to escape out, it therefore ran inside the car. There was a cut out in the bottom seal which was gummed up , I cleaned it out and it sorted the problem out.

the other tihnk to check is that the rubber at the front of the door is sealed to the door with mastic and that the connectors in the door are also sealed. If I've just confused the shit out of you sorry, I might be able to take some photos if that will help.

Cheers

D.

Thanks Davidd, somethings to look at certainly.

I will check those out ASAP.

Not quite sure what you meant by "Connectors" in this context?

Sorry, I mean if you take the door apart you'll see it has two halves, the window and motors etc in one half, the wsitches and speakers in the other. Where the wires go into the inner half you need to stick some mastic to seal it. Then when you put the door back together you'll have to reseal the fron which you ripped open taking it apart.

It is easy though as I've had both of mine apart in the last month and neither leak.
