Was gonna remove the plugs to take a look at the condition & find both my normal spark plug sockets too big! I will refrain from repeating the ensuing profanities screamed by yours truly( i had removed both airboxes etc by this point).
The sockets appear to be too thick walled, so i assume the car requires an unusual spec socket ( how suprising!). Can anyone shed some light on what i need?
Also what plugs are you folks running?
p.s its a 97 4.2.
Thanks in advance
Darren.

Just purchase/borrow/steal a reasonable thick walled plug spanner and machine the outside diameter down to fit, it's as simple as that and much cheaper. Mine worked reaaly well, it had to, I changed one plug [N°3]every other day when I had engine problems. If you need some help I'll machine it for you.

I found a 3/8 drive Sealey Premier 16mm plug socket which is thin walled and does the job. Cost about 8 quid, but you will need a seperate U/J to get at some of the plugs. NGK plug equivalent is BKR5EKU. (All specs courtesy of Joolz)
