Battery cover

Can anyone tell me, on a 97 Cerbera should there be a cover over the battery, i.e. covering the positive terminal? Looks very exposed, I can even see it through the gaps in the bonnet.

mine is a 1998 4.5 but it doesn't have a cover either

Mines a 4.5 also, but it would appear to have a cover. Only visible bit of the battery is through a small rectangle over one of the terminals.

I'll see if I can get a piccie in daylight.

ok, got some piccies. I presumed all of them looked like this but you never know.

My '96 4.2 look just like the picture of the 4.5 except for the air box assembly of course. I thought all Cerberas had the engine bay cover?
