coolant change - help required.
Discussion
On the metal water pipes from each bank, just under the air intakes, you'll find air bleed valves - look like a couple of wingnuts. After refilling system, start engine & open valves. Close when air is released.
Changed a hose clip last week and found this out from the garage. Hope it helps.

By far the easiest way of doing this is to remove blue expansion tank cap and remove radiator bleed screw. As the coolant drains through the bleed screw, top up with neat antifreeze through expansion tank (5ish litres) then quickly replace radiator bleed screw. Top up to seam in expansion tank, run engine til fans cut in, leave to cool down. Remove expansion tank blue cap - if below seam level, top up again. Run engine and repeat this cycle until the level no longer drops.
It isn't necessary to undo wingnuts, since these pipes are self-bleeding and the wingnuts do not re-seal properly.
Hope this helps
