it's a really good idea to connect the diagnostics regularly, as the coolant temperature sensor has gone bad, but I don't know whether it was a gradual fail, or a clean break

I've only just discovered what the constant pitch hum that comes from the top of the engine bay is likely caused by
It had been puzzling me for years, I can only hear it when in the cabin, and then only occasionally
What is the only thing that remains constant frequency, irrespective of engine speed, or road speed?
If it had been from the back of the car, then perhaps the fuel pump
But since it's the engine bay I think it's the injectors

The heating dials control the hot and cold air temperatures separately and the red button, that I thought was to turn on the heating is actually the rear window heater and that the blue button, that I thought was for the cold heating is for the air conditioning.
Should have read the manual 10 odd years ago when I got the car and only read this today when I was trying to turn the fans off
