North West Specialist?
Discussion
Hi all, looking to get my first TVR and would like a Cerbera.
Whilst I can do a fair bit of spannering and basic maintenance, I'll likely need to get major works done by a specialist.
Like most marques, I'd expect some specialists are more reputable and knowledgeable than others.
I'm in the North West in the Cheshire / Merseyside area - who would be the best specialist to speak to without having to venture too far off patch to ensure a trustworthy and knowledgeable experience?

I've always used TrackVRoad in Clitheroe. Very honest guys Craig and Ian you can trust them. There's another very well regarded specialist in the Kirkham/Preston area too but their name slips my mind at present. I'm sure they will get a vote by others on here but I can;t fault TrackVRoad.
Good Luck finding a Cerbera... wouldn't mind one myself

I used TrackVRoad once and found them expensive and not particularly good. I would recommend XWorks at Wesham, about a mile off junction 3 on the M.55. Heath is the area club organiser, and both he & Paul know their stuff.

You've had a very different experience of TvR than I have when using them for my Tuscan. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.http://www.xworksservice.co.uk/

Very different to my view too. Track v Road are on my very short shortlist of recommended tvr garages. Ian is a very gifted fabricator, car set up man, and driver. He brings together lots of areas of knowledge and is very capable in those areas. I can't think what issues you might have had, but ian's work is very very good.http://www.xworksservice.co.uk/

Also have a Tuscan on my list, whatever comes up first as the right car.
I normally like to buy privately as I'm not a huge fan of paying retail wages as in my experience the retailers seldom add sufficient value to justify the premium, however I get the feeling that with a TVR, it very well might pay dividends.
Given I'd want a retail car extremely well prepared, and a minter with no stories or excuses, are Str8six a good shout to buy from? Anty others?
