How heavy is my Cerbera??
Discussion
Bugger I left the CD's in!
It came in at a fraction under 1200kg, take off 60kg for the petrol and we worked it out at 1140. Not bad I thought. Mind you it is minus its cats which are quite heavy.
That was without me or my pies.
I was quite pleased with that, I thought it would be a bit more.

Well i starved myself for a week emptied the cds out and still got overtaken in my Chimaera 400 by a couple of Ceberas at Elvington airfield like i was standing still. That was the momment i decided that i had to have one next. Have any of you owned a Chimaera before and which did you prefer? S3TAY.
I had a chim 450 before. I went off that quite quickly. Found the engine ran out of puff but sounded great at idle and around town. Got tired of the styling (bit too classic for my liking) but the roof down was fab. Always felt vunderable without a roll bar. The Cerb is a completely different beast. No comparison. Go for it. The engine is so powerful that I am still exploring its abilities 9 months into ownership. IT looks as good as any supercar, sounds fab etc etc....
I had a 4 litre Chimaera for 3 years, thought it was the quickest thing on the road, never had a performance vehicle before. Then I went to the Castle Combe track day in 2001. Similar experience to yours, OK in the twisty bits but left for dead as soon as the track opened out, thought, got to have more power.
I have to say that in all honesty the Chimaera felt just as quick on the road, but I think only because the Chimaera engine is more punchy in the low rev range and I value my license. Brakes are a lot better, except the hand brake. I think the Cerbera is more driveable in the wet, doesn't seem to lose traction as readily.
Can't wait for a track day.
The only thing I miss is not being able to remove the roof.
