I can't seem to get the dipped head lights working. Started from the back, as recommended in an old thread. These are pictures of the lights switching unit. I saw worse pictures on here. The coloured pin is from the red/yellow wire. From the inside the ecu does not look bad, but it has been heated.

FOG lamp is probably not working because the dipped doesn't work.....?

The dipped ecu also has a pin which does look less brow/burnt compared to this one. Also from the inside this ecu looks good (to me). The connector does not have burn sign at all and here it is the blue/red wire.

Does this look like a repair is needed?

I just did some measurements:

Light Control Unit in the boot:

When I engage the light switch to dipped beam, the rear lights work. Front lights and fog light doesn't work. I do not measure any volts on the blue/red wire, which is the dip beam signal. When I put 12 volts on this pin, the front lights work and my fog light works also. Even though the pin of the fog light looks like it has been hot. The dim/dip ecu relais can be heard also.

The dipped beam signal has to come from multiway 1, which is a 36 way trident snap. I guess that is the wide and flat connector underneath the dash. Pin 27. This pin goes to the steering wheel unit. It is called steering wheel unit in the TVR manual. My guess is that this either the pcb on top of the column, or the bigger gray one with the 10- and 5 pin ribbon cable.

According to the manual the steering wheel unit contains:

dip beam signal
main beam signal
lh turn
rh turn
hazard
horn

So, I think my ECU's did get some temperature somewhere in its life but they are probably not broken. What fails is the dip beam voltage on the light control unit when I put the light switch on dip/dip. So, somewhere between switch and multiway 1 there is a solution. Is it correct that the steering wheel unit is the pcb on top of the column? Hazard isn't working either at the moment....
