As some of you might know i am in the progress of finishing my restoration. Today I had almaost all the electric functions alive again. Fog light, hazard and washer button are the last functions to re-activate again.

My MIL light is on and there is a continous beep. I think this is because my crankshaft sensor (and one of the lambda sensors) is still disconnected. Can someone confirm that this is a valid reason for the MIL to light up and havng this beep?

The conditions you describe would be unusual for the ECU so may be the issue. What do the logged alarms show does it show up the expected issues from a Lambda being not connected.and a faulty crank position sensor?

Just a quick question how is it running without a crank sensor working?

The first thing is to go through the basics and get every fault you know on the car resolved and then start working through the other things.

Getting water in the lamba connected caused a MIL and buzzer (Iirc) to go off in my first cerb.. I imagine a disconnected lambda might so the same.

I did not have the engine running, but the starter motor engages and that was what I wanted to hear. Important thing to know is that my ECU is a KMS ECU and not the MBE.

I am sure you know this already
BUT
I was surprised to find that the MILF light came on if the Air Flow sensor wasn't connected in the LHS Indusction Hose.

It is all a learning curve for a commercial guy like me. But.... I have come a long way already. So, MILF does show herself in case sensors are disconnected/broken?
