....well that would be the reason of course. I seem to remember whilst on the factory tour they claimed that they had to take the car round the block at Blackpool once a year so that they could still race it.
I still think TVR have got a V12 supercar for the road in them somewhere.

Danny,
Quick question. What is 'rose jointed suspension'??
(as opposed to normal suspension with rubber/nylon bushes).
Cheers

The pic below best describes a rose joint but by way of a descrption normal suspension with rubber/nylon bushes offers some give. A rose joint offers NONE, the feedback to the driver is great but the result is back breaking even on a race track (we use rose joints on the Tuscan's suspension). Fitting rose joints to a road car would offer very good feedback but the car would be almost undrivable sniffing out every camber and road surface change you'd be shaken to pieces after travling 100 yards on the public road.
Hope this makes sense....

I beg to differ...
My roadgoing Tuscan Challenge car is fully rose jointed and rides pretty well. When the road test editor for Car magazine drove it he was amazed how good it was on the road saying it was way more compliant than some supposed road cars such as the limited edition Ford Racing Puma.
I also think that Ultimas are rose jointed and they seem to be pretty good on the road. So while you are right that rose joints give good feed back (and also help to keep the suspension geometry consistent) they don't necessarily ruin the ride quality, although it's definately not Lexus more ULTRA sporting.
