My speed six Cerbie is working well and has done several trips lately without issue (I know, until…).

One issue though, the car seems to under fuel or cut out at about 5200rpm. Not always, and to varying degrees. The engine is otherwise fine and has had a quality rebuild with one of the best specialists.

Before burning some notes on investigations, is there anything simple I could look out for or check in anyone’s experience?

Check your throttle pots are giving smooth readings over their range. There could be a dead spot.

Fuel and ignition issues are hard to distinguish without putting it on a rolling road. spitfire4v8 will have your issues diagnosed and fixed in a jiffy, if Jools doesn't mind me referring the OP smile

Dom from Powers suggested an HT lead touching another wire in the loom. A quick wiggle and some cable ties and I have a full rev range. Dom is really a top bloke.
