A full 18 inches
Discussion
I've been dreaming about up-grading to a cerbie recently and was flicking through an old cerbera brochure last night. It depicts a yellow post facelift 4.5 with what it says are 18 inch wheels - not spiders but the same style as the the 17 inch wheels that became standard on 4.5's.
Were cerbies ever delivered with this style 18 inch wheels and can you still get them anywhere as I reckon they look the dog's...
P.S.Sorry, even I can barely understand what I've written

My 4.5 came with 17s, was uprated to the old style 18s. they cracked and the previous owner managed to talk TVR into supplying another set of old style 18s BUT this time they were stronger etc... BUT they went and cracked on me. So TVR kindly (after I had two high speed blow outs in a fortnight) supplied me with 4 new spiders in 18 inches. think that TVR now dont have any of the old style left and there have been prev threads about this (speedline RL7 s?). I prefer the old shape as well.
There have been threads on this, but a while back so I am not sure you will find them.
Yes the cerbie was briefly supplied on 18's that looked like 17's (speedline RL7's) but as said before were prone to cracking or were porous.
Hence TVR started supplying spiders on the cerbie.
However, don't give up. Do a search for speedline wheels, you might find some secondhand (not sure I'd want them though) or some alternative wheels that look just as good. Recently I have seen people starting to fit all kinds of wheels to their cerbies.

I managed to get a set of 18" speedlines last year which my local dealer sourced for me. I had heared the horror stories about the wheels as well, however in just over a year and a few 175+ MPH runs I have suffered no problems.
I also prefer the look of the speedlines on the cerbera however the spiders look fantastic on the Tuscan.
