Has anyone had their cams on a 4.2 replaced and paid for by Warranty Holdings.

I'm looking for a precident, as the case hardening on one lobe has failed and they say that it is fair wear.

Best person to speak to is Paul at Walldonway (01732 841021). He will certainly know if they have ever managed to get them paid for. He got everything that went wrong with our car in the first 12 months paid for by WH (steering rack rebuild, slave cylinder replacement, broken handbrake pickup points & cooked lighting control box)...

Good luck !

I am personally fed up and disgusted by the attitude of Warranty Holdings. My fault is clearly not fair wear and tear, confirmed by APM, the factory and a metalagist who works for the AA. I am both dismayed and appalled by the arrogant approach they take with the 'so called' customer. The final words from one of there senior people being "we'll see you in court then"

I have got to say that the TVR people involved - Andy at APM and Paul Giddings at the factory have been great and continue to press for a satisfactory result.

If however, satisfaction is not obtained I am considering other methods, such as TV programmes such as watch dog!!

This is clearly a scam, which I for one will not let continue.

Have you tried contacting the Society for Motor Manufacturers? I heard that they may be able to help.

This may, of course, be wrong but it has to be cheaper than going to court so probably worth a try.

I feel worried that this may one day happen to me.

Good Luck

Rob.

They just refused to contribute anything for my engine rebuild. They wouldnt even pay for a knackered oil pump becuase they couldnt work out why it had failed and the rest of the engine had been stripped and cleaned. So they just say no. Tossers.
