Browsing Auto trader, as you do, and there's currently a crash damaged cerbie going for £8995. It says:-
....................................
TVR CERBERA,
P reg . 30000 miles, nearside corner damage and n/side rear suspension damage, very good condition, mechanically sound., CD player and navigation system, FSH, Tax & Tested . £8,995.

CHIPINDALE MOTORS

Tel: (0113) 2526123 or 07763762533

Price: £8,995
...............................

From the picture it looks a tidy loud yellow motor.

Anyone one on PH know the car, perhaps the previous owner still smarting from an insurance beating, or is there anyone looking for a project car? Almost tempted myself

Surely just a bit of a fib in this statement!

you can get a tatty and unloved but undamaged car for 10-11k so why bother? it really need to be 2k less than this to make it worthwhile on a very early car.
although having just been to see the pic it doesn't look bad does it?? .. hmm - might go and see the car after all ..

Saw something similar a few months back - was a car imported back from Japan (driver had difficulty seeing over the steering wheel). The speedo is only in Kph and not sure future buyers would like the car history. Could be the same one again - they wanted £12000 for it back then! Agree with others - could be a lot more damage then meets the eye.

nearside corner damage = large dent all down the nearside, but doesn't quite reach the back end of the car, so it's only a "corner"...

Watch out!!

With most TVRs damage to the body often means that the whole chassis needs replacing so be prepared to shell out serious amounts of cash for repair if you're brave enough to purchase

Not true at all, but still throughly check everything out as a prudent purchaser.

Would have to check that it has'nt been registered as a write off,if it is resale could be a big problem.I suppose if you were in the trade and could cover the labour costs it might be a proposition, but by the time the car is repaired and back on the road its possible you could have bought a straight Cerbera for less.
