Hi all First let me say that by looks and on paper the Cerbera is one of my favourite cars which, unfortunately, is not available in Canada (hence on paper, not experience). Also, please excuse my different use of the language My question is regarding the letters found after the year when looking at Cerbera''s (and other cars?). Usually you will see something like Cerbera 4.2 1997/R (or T or P, etc). What does that letter mean? I hope it''s not something ridiculously simple that I''ve just overlooked Thanks in advance and I hope to learn much more about these cars. Maciej currently driving 1994 Chevy Z28 with stuff added

It's our quirky registration system. The letter gives an indication of when the car was first registered.

The letter designation indicates the year of first registration of the car (most of the time. see later) This always used to run from 1st August for 1 year, thus '97/R '98/R covers the registration period with R prefix in 1997/1998. This changed so that there are two periods per year, so the prefex changes march 1st and 1st september. so '99-'00/V between 1st September 1999 - 28th February 2000. '00/W 1st march - 31st august. This is sometimes thrown into disarray, when people put on a 'personal' plate which can be a different format totally or a standard plate from an older car (eg getting a plate with TVR). Also this is changing again later this year. You probably did not want to know..... Sparks P.S Started this before Teds reply. Edited by sparks on Tuesday 19th June 08:35
