Tyre choices ????

Has anyone fitted any other tyre to the Cerbera than Bridgestone SO 2/3 or Toyo T1s and how did they compare based on price, grip wear etc

SO3s MUCH MUCH better than people would have you suggest although seem to wear out quite quick especially at donington (!).
Toyos are stunning and excellent value.
If you're on 18s and want a set of part worn track day slicks for a spare set of wheels I can help you out by the way ..

We have been SO2 fans for years and had them on our Chimaera 500 and also a Rover Vitesse and were very pleased. I have just put SO3's on the Vitesse and think they are every bit as good as the SO2's (contrary to some threads)but they do not compare with the Toyos on out new Cerbera. The cornering grip is terrific. As they are only 3,000 miles old we cannot comment yet on how long they will last.

Toyos [on 16" rims] have good grip, and v.good price! 3 trackdays on, and Bridgestones would have been demolished, but the Toyos still look in good enough shape for another couple of outings.

I tried P Zero's on my 17", sold them after about 3,000 miles, much more grip with S02's.
I can't understand why Porsche use them. Maybe just different handling characteristics.

i would definately go for a set of continental sport contact 2 if you can find them.

they are about as expensive as the S03 and slightly softer, but the grip is tremendous -wet or dry.

this has been confirmed by EVO in their recent tests BTW!!

Are 19" alloys a possibility, without mods to the bodywork? Obviously, with even lower profile tyres if they exist?
