Well I've done it, had a test drive Sunday and knew these things were fast but for Christ's sake this boarders on nauseatingly obscene , so I've chanced my Chimaera 450 for a 4.5 Cerbera on a 98/R plate. Should pick it up Saturday piccies here www10.rapidhost.co.uk/ecars/fernhurst/FMPro?-db=ecar2pub.fp5&-format=cardtlpge.html&-lay=main&-sortfield=cardata%3a%3aprice&-sortorder=descend&-op=eq&DealerNumber=1006&-op=eq&mfr2=tvr&-max=2147483647&-recid=34052&-find= if you're interested.

See ya around hopefully
Paul

Glad you said that about the plate as I wasn't to sure either and now you've made my mind up about changing it.

Cheers

Glad to see others take the plunge. I part exchanged my Griff 500 three months ago for the Cerb 4.5. You'll soon forget about the convertable roof.

All fears put to rest buy said dealer and of course I have dealer warranty. I actual thought the Cerbera was a smoother drive then my Chimaera and certainly behaved more like a sports car – not to take anything away from her you understand, I am a bit sad to see her go. Talking about going I’ve just bought a replacement number plate too. Anyone want to buy BIG OFF

Nothing that expensive Colin - a quick call to the DVLA sorted me out L77 PJC (you guessed it - my initials) for the grand some of £250 which includes VAT and transfer fees. Bargain.

Paul,

Out of interest, I seem to remember someone who collected their Rolex Blue Chimaera on March 1st 1999 (pre-Pistonheads days) and had a little issue with a SAAB on day one? Not you by any chance was it? Rich...

Not me Richb but it could have been the pervious owner, I took delivery beginning of 2001. Must admit I love the colour and I've never seen another Rolex Blue Chimaera anywhere – she will be missed

Yes truly very sad to see her go I loved driving around with the roof off, (not that I managed it too often!)and I won't get the chance to again. Although the Cerbera is F****** fast, noisy and very tasty! Can't wait to have a drive.......possibly next weekend?!
Sarah (the now poor but still smiling wife of Paul)
P.S Paul weren't we meant to be moving next year, where is the house deposit?!!!
