Hi Guys

I don’t normally post in this forum but I’m on the verge of splashing my house deposit on upgrading my Chimaera 450 to a 98/R Cerbera 4.5. The thing is this car has had 3 pervious owners (I wouldn't normally ask but anyone here – click the URL below for details of car). The car, according to the dealer had an engine rebuild by the factory 12k ago due to the pervious owner driving it though a very large puddle and the engine ingesting water – is this a good (new engine) or bad (new engine) thing? The car seems very sound cosmetically and has just had a nose job done to sort out all those stone chips.

Any thoughts good or bad would really help and if it helps anyone the car was new from WLA and serviced at Station Hill and then Fernhurst.

it looks v.nice, try reviewing why it's had three owners..this seems pretty norm for that milage plus see all the work carried out..
by the ratpac experience if it's had a all the major repairs you shouldn't worry... but if it hasn't had for example a new clutch etc... expect these things to go when you own it. and try and get warranty .

take it for a drive.. people on pistonheads and the yahoo cerbera group list are always keen to help.

hope this helps

I have had excellent service from Fernies - and have put many of my colleagues their way too - that is how comfortable I feel about them....they know their onions as far as Cerbera's are concerned - but always get a warranty....

The advert says it comes with a 12 month warranty so thats a start. Can that be extended?

Yeah I guess so - it's a dealer so if I cut my right arm off as well I could extend for another yr or so.
