So there is this P reg 96 Cerbera....
Discussion
A mate and I might be about to do a deal on a very early 96 4.2 cerb however there is a problem.
I've suggested that he lends me it for a few days so I can see how I get on with it and get it checked out however it has a dead battery, annoyingly enough a 'new' battery from HR Owens. I said I'd buy the battery and fit it, however he seemed worried that the airbox had sealent on it and it would be a nightmare.
Is this true? If so what sort of seal is it? A gasket or just some mastic?
Thanks
D.

It does have sealant but it is nothing special, just use a silicon type or mastic. The battery should be a standard 072 for the early Cerbera (40-60 quid), don't be conned into a special TVR one, get Halfords (or whoever) to agree to change/refund if by some chance it won't fit.
