TVR and Head Gaskets
Discussion
I haven't owned my car long, and before I purchased the car it was serviced at the factory. There is a head gasket leak that was present when the factory serviced the car, and yet this wasn't reported on after the service, even though the tappets were altered, so the head would have been under quite some scrutiny.
The upshot of this is that I would like to approach TVR Blackpool, and ask them to consider helping me foot the cost of the head gasket, since I would not have expected to buy a car freshly serviced by them with such an expensive item requiring work.
Does anyone out there have any experience of this sort of thing, and know of the best way to go about speaking to them?
Any help would be very appreciated.

depends on the year and milage of your cerbie-When I used to work for a main dealer we did manage to get tvr to do certain goodwill payments-nomally engine rebuilds.but to do this you need to go through a main dealer unless you have a conntact at tvr-if you ring them directly you wont get very far.as long as you also have an upto date history etc and have a good relationship with your dealer then you have a chance. If tvr factory were told to do a service then thats all they will do........
goodluck!
