This car was for sale at Cranleigh Motors in, er, Cranleigh last summer for around £40k. Seems whoever bought it is trying to hang off Beckham's purse strings.

Interesting that it supposedly has "carbon composite panels" and 19" wheels.

The only carbon fibre in a Cerbie is the fake stuff on the air boxes, and it looks like it's got plain old ordinary 18's on.

He obviously knows David and Victoria well, if he managed to persuade them to part with it.

Odd that they still chose to sell it to their mate through a garage though

Has David Beckham only had one Cerbera ? I ask this because I was at Liphook coachworks last year, picking up my repaired Chim and there was a seriously smashed up Cerbera, had gone into a tree at speed..... the guy said it had been David Beckhams, inexperienced TVR owner, first time in the wet, can't remember the colour, obviously I didn't try to find out if it really was his (didn't really care..) but if it is the same car I wouldn't buy it for £10K....... - it was pointless repairing it, but the guy at Liphook said the owner was getting it done as it had a "history" , hence I was prepared to beleive the Beckham story - needed about 30K spent on it, it was a total mess !

"since then the car has undergone numerous factory improvements and refinements"

If it's the same car I saw he's not kidding - please understand though that I don't know that it's the same car....

IIRC Beckham's had at least 3 Cerberas (along with plenty of other exotic machinery). I suspect he's a reasonably competent driver. Alternatively, when you consider that he earns enough after tax in 5 days to buy a new Cerbera, he can afford to smash 'em up as often as he likes.

I'm sure Beckhams a good driver, he's obviously good at it, and obviously has good co-ordination, reactions etc.

This car was smashed up by the person who next owned it.

It's probably not this car...

So if it's had more owners than an 88 Nissan Bluebird his name isn't even going to be on the V5
Seems like a waste of money spending any more than list price, about £35,000, but if it's had a big smash is it on 'V-Car' if so knock of £5,000

I suspect the seller is gambling on prospective soccer-mad US purchasers not really having a handle on the true value.

He also fails to note that resident US citizens won't be able to import it to the states ....

Unfortunatly the Americans didn't even give a toss about there own 'soccer' team at the world cup so I doubt any of them even know who Beckham is

Pray tell me from which position of knowledge thou speakest oh Oracle?
There were about 300 yanks and assorted foreigners in the Pub with me in Manhattan watching the Germany USA game.... The auditorium in my office on Madison & 23rd(seats 250+) was also full....

I don't mean to have a go (you did include Mr. Smiley-face), but there are an awful lot of people on this site who continually rip the p#ss out of the US from a position of no knowledge.

The comment was made after seeing news reports compareing the 2 country's reactions during the world cup, American people were stopped on the street and asked about 'soccer' and most weren't even aware the world cup was on , whereas in England the place ground to a halt, making it a lot easier for me to get to work

The carbon is only on the Pre 2000 spec cars (i.e. before they change the shape of the A pillar, and got the different lights....
