I'm looking to add a Cerbera to keep my Tuscan company

I've been to the TVR site to find out more about the 4.5. However I couldn't find any details regarding the Red Rose Conversion or Lightweight. Are either of these still in existence as new builds?

Thanks in advance!

All 4.5s are 'Lightweight' spec as far as im aware nowardays. The R.R pack i think is Optional and is certainly still available. I know the feeling with just one TVR. Im hoping to save up to buy a nice scale model to put on the rear shelf of my Rover....(its the closest id get to two)

Beautiful! It looks like what I'm after. I'll be getting my Cerbera through my company car scheme so I'm not sure if I can get a pre-owned car. Could you send me all the details please?

Red Rose conversion on the cerbera is basically dual octane engine mappings (95/97) and ported heads. A claimed 25bhp increase, but I don't know of one that's been on a rolling road yet. Mine does this saturday morning though.

All 4.5 Cerbera's since Jan 2000 are "lightweight", though how much difference this makes is anyone's guess.

What happened to building an Ultima?

Christof, are you still ordering the Tuscan R or moving toward the GT40?

Hope you do buy a Tuscan R as I'd love to see it in Black with Christof 'special' wheels!

Thanks for the info. Not sure it's worth the extra money for 25bhp. As for the Ultima, this is some time off as I need a garage sorted etc. The Cerbera (if i get one) will be purchased through my company car scheme

Blackmonday,

I will post you all the details later in the evening.

RedRose:

it's not the extra 25 bhp which counts, the power delivery and the throttle response is way better than a standard 4.5.

All guys who have driven my beastie are so much impressed about the RR conversion.
So don't talk about 25 bhp, talk about a motorbike like throttle response, perfect power delivery and perfect fuel consumption.

Blackmonday, drive a RR against a 4.5 and you'll know what to do.

Hmmm.... perhaps its a 3 cylinder version of the Speed 6 engine in a reliant kitten bodyshell, aimed at the Merc A-class / Smart Car market segment
