Picture the sceene - Start car on hot day, drive off, turn on air-con, have lovely cold air. About 10-15 mins later, cold air starts to get less cold, until after a further 5-10 mins, there is no diffference having the aircon on/off. Leave it off for 10 mins, and turn it back on again, and it's nice & cold again ?

Is that something getting too cold & just freezing ?

Thanks

It seems we both have the same problems. Mine did exactly the same yesterday on the M4. You would have thought that it should work better at speed, instead it got hotter.

On mine there's a rheostat under the dash that can adjust the temperature of the aircon. This isn't meant for on-the-move changes in temperature but just setting the thing up. If the temperature is set too cold then the aircon can freeze, so less air gets through, so it seems like its working less and less. If you leave the aircon off for a while then it thaws and works again. Basically, if you raise the temperature of the cold air slightly it will stay cold, as the system won't freeze. Or at least my car is/was like that...
