1st and 5th gear stiff

just been out the cerbie, 1st is hard to engage, once going a lot easier. while trying to reverse it 5th is hard to get in in gear....?
is this clutch about to go or more serious?

Don't own a tiv so can't really comment but my clutch went last week and the symptoms you describe are the exact signs I was suffering in the early stages!!

any change in the gear operation in a car should be treated as serious, in a cerbie it's also potentially very expensive deoending what has actually happened. has the pedal feel changed? .. ie is it now soft and squidgy (techie term) where it was once firm? is it notchy throughout it's travel. is it unnaturally stiff now?
also check for fluid dripping off the pedal (master cylinder seals .. cheap) or fluid on the floor under the middle of the car (slave cylinder seals .. expensive).
whatever has hapened you need it checking out soner rather than later to avoid any damage occurring.
