Ok im thinking about changing the chim in the summer for a cerby somthing in the 25-30k mark ( thats almost as much as my house!!!) So probably looking at 97/98 4.5 or maybe a 99 speed6 ( ive seen a few advertised) anybody got any pointers on the pros and cons of each model ( i'll probably get Joolz to look over any purchase) points to note 1) It will be my only car (wifey has a discovery tho) 2) i do about 12k miles per year 3) it will live outside 4) widfey hates the chim( too noisy, too low too uncomfortable) part of the reason for changing is that she hates the roof down and it too embarasing with the roof up in summer!!!!! cheers Graham

Get a 1998 or later. The earlier ones can tend to me more problematic. Avoid 4.2's due to their plummeting value. However, they are absolute bargains (though be prepared for issues). The 4.5's hold value best and whether their better than a Speed6 or not is really your choice as there's more to it than simply a different engine. Ensure (of course) it has a full TVR SH and a warranty. The starter on mine went the other week - cost to the warranty company was £570!! ...and if Ted allows adverts on this thing, I have one for sale http://www.xoib.co.uk !
