Propsective Cerbera Owner
Discussion
I'm looking to re kindle my love of all things TVR by purchasing a Cerbera (previous a 450se Wedge). Any advice on costs, servicing, faults to look out for would be appreciated. I'm aiming for a 4.2 with a view to updating to 2002 spec.
PS I've looked at a few can anything be done about the roll over bar above the windscreen on older models I'm 6" 4 its like looking out of a pillarbox

I'm 6' 5" and have a 1998 Cerbera 4.5 which has the same roll bar configuration. No there's nothing you can do about it (other than go for a later model which I think has a slightly different set up which I'm told improves on this).
You DO get used to it very quickly so I wouldn't worry about it unless you're claustrophobic! I found that after a few test drives it didn't bother me at all.

I've had mine only 4 months and have no significant bills yet. So far have spent about £100 on some minor electrical problems. Also needed some new rear tyres which are not cheap (there are plenty of threads here on tyre recommendations and prices). Service due in about 1 months time so there will be another bill soon.
Having said that, it's just gone into the garage with a misfire problem. I'm still awaiting the outcome though it looks like it may be a throttle pot problem (see other threads). If that's what it is then it should not be a big expense (touch wood).
I've used the car as a daily driver and it's done about 3K miles since I got it so to date I'm happy with it ... but ask me again in 12 months time!
