Mmmm... not bad. Not quite as exciting looking as I''d hoped, but it''s got the right ingredients mechanically I guess.

Kind of hard to think of any Rover as being in competition with a 911. That's going to take some clever marketing. Best of luck to them, though. Can't help thinking I've seen those rear light clusters somewhere before ... Edited by ATG on Tuesday 11th September 14:46

At last MG Rover try to fight back with new well designed cars. MG Rover really need to hit the glory days they once had.

Some very Astra Coupe type lines at the rear...

The front just shouts RENAULT MEGANE.

more promising than Z cars. Faintly reminiscent of Maserati Biturbo, hope it goes as well as one!

Nice overall shape...shame the front looks like a Megane and boot looks like that of a Rover 45.

Very nice! I wonder what the prices will be like - small enough for my wallet I hope.

Roofline looks very Mercedes CL which is a good thing. Not usre about the rear light clusters, I recommend they go talk to zertec about putting afterburners on it!! Front is a bit iffy with a megane-esque grille and a weird faintly hyundai like front shape. Rear 3/4 is best view. I want to like it but not sure... (give it a 500bhp V8 and I'll cope with it looking as it does now!!)

Be honest chaps it looks crap and you're only being kind to it because it's got an MG badge on the front. To me it looks like the old Rover coupe job, was it the 216 turbo GT? can't remember... Anyway it doesn't really excite does it?

Sadly I think you're right. If it was a Renault badge on the front I'd have given it a bit of a slagging for being unimaginative.

Where's your sense of patriotism, Rich? It's British; be proud of it! If it had a BMW M badge in it, there would be a two year waiting list for it, with me somewhere near the front

Its no that bad apart from the front end It looks a bite sh*te and riped off from other car companies They should make it look more like an MGish At the end of the day it should be RWD and go like stink and be able to go side ways They could have done a lot worse

Say what you want I still like it. Maybe they should have given it a 'Corporate grill' though as the nose isn't as pretty as it could be and then they it would be a lift for the rest of the range too. Edited by Ali_D on Wednesday 12th September 12:33

"It's likely to be priced under £50,000." Bloody right - it's only an MG.

It seems to have nice Specs possible for the money, but still, it is ugly as sin at the front......And Jap cars can do more and better cheaper.. Edited by Jason F on Wednesday 12th September 14:36

I'm in a stirring mood so.... You're all slating it cos' its an MG but if it had a TVR badge it would be rather different!! You could forgive its downsides cos' it has a V8 & 370bhp. Go on admit it!!
