popped up in my facebook feed earlier,

nothing to be found online about it other than the newspaper stories but colour me interested,

mg based by the sounds of it so simple and easy to maintain although no mention of powertrain,

pretty looking thing in a retro way, anyone know anythign more about it

Imp wasn't the last car made in Scotland.

AC ME 3000 went into the 80s and the Argyll later than that.

the local papers up here never seem to let facts get in the way of a good story.

theres also a 7 clone builder up in perthshire somewhere iirc.


this looks appealing though, a bit of further digging suggests you can spec your own drivetrain,

wonder what fits........

Based on MG parts? The sill line looks like an MG Midget. I found an online article that actually states this is what the base car is.

It looks small, minimalist characterful and fun. If it is actually based on MG parts then it is also (probably) slow and crude by modern standards. I'd take the first four of those points and not be too bothered about the last two but I'm in a tiny minority.

I wish them well but, sadly, I think the days of cars like this are well and truly over.
